Okay, I need some help.
I would like my posts to look a little tidier by not having long rambling links like http://www.singaporemath.com/Primary_Math_Textbook_1A_U_S_EDITION_p/pmust1a.htm but would like to have it so that I could just write "Hailey is doing Singapore math 1A" and have the link on 1A or something like that.
If you could share your expertise that would be appreciated.

The simplest method is that available while in "Compose Mode," which is probably the default mode you're in when you choose to create a new post (click the appropriate tab in the post-editing window if not).
Click and drag to highlight the text that you want to serve as the anchor. Then use your mouse to click on the weblink icon. It's up amongst the text-formatting tools and looks either like a frog wearing glasses or like an earth-globe with two links of a chain overlying it, depending on your mood and perspective. In the dialogue box, enter the URL, then click OK. That should do it.

Ok, I hope I can explain this right. It took me a while to figure it out as well. I'll tell you how I do it. I go to the site I am wanting to feature, right click and hit copy. Then I go to my blog, highlight the area I want to attach the link with the left mouse button. There is a little icon that is next to the "b" for bold and "i" for italics. It looks like an Earth with a chain link on it. Click on it, and it opens a box. Right click and paste your link in it. Sometimes I have to get rid of an extra http, but it should be right. Hope this helps.
